    Ten Second Review
Ford Focus Lease Review - There is a reason that the Focus has spent most of its fourteen year history at the top of its field. It is economical with plenty of great features, and handles better than almost all of its hatchback competition. As you might expect from such a long standing model, the Focus has plenty of options to consider in terms of engine, specification and look.

Starting under the hood, you are really choosing between the faster 1.5 turbo sporty petrol, the 1.0 litre ecoboost and the 1.6 diesel. The rest are competitive but these three are the middle ground, all are reasonably economical and will work well in and out of town, although the Ecoboost system struggles with prolonged high speed periods, and there is a significant vibration in the undercarriage. Whichever you go for, you get a car that handles fantastically, with perfect grip for the corners and very nimble steering with great feedback.

The same goes for the styling, whether you like sportier looks of practical curves you get plenty with this model, it doesn’t look as fun as its European competition but makes up for this with the drive. Where it does fall down a little is in practicality. There is plenty of room in the back seats, you’ll fit four with ease and up front is particularly comfortable, but the boot space is even smaller than the Fiat 500, although its foldable seats leave some room.  Trim as standard is excellent, with air conditioning and USB connectivity all round, while the upgraded Titainum and Titanium X versions ooze class with an eight inch touchscreen, parking camera and bi-xenon lights.

Zetec is probably still the best bet, you get digital radio and Bluetooth alongside a four inch screen (with some nice colours but not touch access), as well as those alloy wheels. Finally Ford have ensured their five star NCAP performances continue, with a plethora of airbags alongside torque vectoring and stability control that will keep the car on the road. This is one of the most solidly performing cars on the market, you really can’t go wrong with here.
