    Ten Second Review
Peugeot 2008 SUV Lease Review - Filled with technological advances, the Peugeot 2008 crossover has all kinds of features.  The interior is nicely appointed, and the five doors make all parts of the cabin easy to access. You get the look of an SUV with the convenience of a hatchback.

The PureTech engine is a three cylinder, small petrol setup that can deliver 82 horsepower and has low carbon dioxide emissions.  You only have a two-wheel drive option however, so there is no ability for off-roading in the 2008.  There is an option for upgrading to all-wheel drive, so you may want to consider that if you live in an area that has tough winters.

The best engine size is the 1.6 litre diesel.  While it suffers from the increased noise common with diesels, the insulation does well and you don’t hear it as much as you do on lesser vehicles. This engine is by far the one to deliver the best fuel economy in its class – 74 mpg on the automatic version.  Choosing the manual transmission loses you 4 mpg, but you still are far above a petrol engine’s ability.  The smaller 1.4 litre diesel gets you just over 70 mpg as well.

There’s an optional technology available for both petrol and diesel engines that can shut off the engine at stop lights to save fuel and reduce emissions.

A 7” colour touch screen gives you a temperature reading in the top left corner, a clock in the top right corner and easy to touch buttons to control the radio. If you opt to get the navigation system, you can access it from this screen too.  There’s an optional Bluetooth and USB connection you can pick as well, so you can control many devices from the touchscreen and make calls without holding your phone.

Other options for your touchscreen include traffic update apps and parking information, much like you would find on a smartphone.

One of the other options on the 2008 is parking assistance.  It helps measure the size of the parking space and then the sensors kick in to help you slide into place, giving you a visual update on the touchscreen and audio tones.

If you get into an accident, the Connect SOS option can notify emergency services in the event your airbags deploy. GPS technology will direct them to you, or you can press a button for a manual connection.

The low lip for the boot makes loading and unloading a breeze.  The cabin seats four and unlike some compact SUVs, there is a good amount of headroom.  The legroom is a bit compromised, but for kids seated in the back they won’t mind.
